Everyone, meet Santa Claus, and Chewbacca. I asked them to do something interesting, and they performed. No one was harmed except for some minor issues with some cork getting stuck in Chewy's beard afterward. We had a good laugh afterward and I'm slightly delirious right now.

So today marks a buck and a quarter :) And with the colder misty weather outside, I decided to stay inside (but mostly because I'm lazy and didn't want to put on a shirt).
Nevertheless, we picked up this wine near Sonoma in Healdsburg at J Vineyards. This is their dessert wine. It's awesome.
My favorite part about this photo is the natural rust appearance coming from the window (no post-processing filters required!). It really made that giant moon bokeh ball stand out quite nicely

I had the privilege today for the first time at Google to join in at a "Chefs Table" event where a Chef allows Googlers to sign up for a round-table, family style dining (with (of course), the Chef). Sad to say I have no memory of what we ate except that it was exceptional (all the dish names were things I never heard of). Oh, and they're called bowls, not dishes

This is just nearly the beginning of a new thing I'm trying out called "only posting the best". I took nearly 50 photos of this cork screw varying from different angles to different parts of it being in focus with smaller & larger apertures as well as experimenting with various color settings. In the end, I figure since I passed 10,000+ photos, I may as well take my time on subjects that don't move.
