As part of our anniversary weekend, Erin and I went on a boat cruise. We waited, waited, and waited long enough... and the infamous pink skies never came. But I was determined to get a photo anyway simply for the plain fact that we were on a boat!

Funny story though, we almost had a near strobe death experience. Apparently I didn't tighten the flash as much as I should have, and it fell right off the adapter and 'almost' into the ocean! The batteries did spill and we lost one of the AA rechargables (we are now awful tree huggers). But as usual, I always carry extra batteries in the SB-900 case (I love these cases!!).

Anyway, enough with this sappy story, I have wine and cheese that must be eaten — you strobo junkies, do your thing.

It was nearing evening as we rushed home from Pauline's Pizza to catch the last of the sky. We missed most of it, but the D700 was able to pull most of it back out at ISO 1,600. This was shot on top of our roof again, this time with a little bit different of an outfit... but made a reintroduction to those damn sweet boots.
