220/365. Skate or look stupid — or do both at the same time
It was only a month ago that I took a skater shot (even included a strobist video). This time I had to do one that was a little less serious. Slightly different setup to suit the framing, but all flashes still at full power to combat the severe brightness. Maybe one in a few years I'll actually invest in one of those "big flashes" I keep hearing about.
Regarding post-production: some minor color adjustments, tone mapping, and spot removal (there's a spot on my 14-24 that just won't go away no matter how many times I wipe it down).
setup, camera, strobist info: I recommend just watching the previously linked video.

105/365. Why should anyone steal a watch when he could steal a bicycle? ~ Flann O'Brien
This bicycle belongs to a friend of mine named Trent. He traveled down from Vancouver (by plane) with his bicycle because, yes, he is totally that hardcore.
This shot was taken near 21st & Mission, just underneath the big "Mission" sign.
Happy Wednesday Everyone. Nerdy folk read on:

91/365. Life of a Mission Hipster
It's fun to make fun of ones own self every once in a while. And although I don't think I epitomize the true nature of being a Mission Hipster, it's fun trying :)
This shot was taken near 24th & Valencia, in the middle of the road (suicide lane as some call it). Read the rest of the hoopla for the technically curious.
strobist info: SB-900 @ 1/16 on 85mm about 25' away (on the curb) direct subject left.
camera info: Nikon D700 | 200mm(ƒ/2.0G) | ƒ/2.0 | ISO 800 | 1/30s — VR Normal enabled (tripod detection) on 3' tripod, roughly 40' away from subject using spot focus (center of the frame). triggered via interval time shooting.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday everyone!
Oh, and be sure to check out the mission hipster outtakes photo. It's sure to be a good laugh.

Again, as my 365 project approaches, here is my 2nd photo before the project officially begins on January first. This was shot in downtown San Francisco near Market and Powell as I waited for Erin and Stephanie to finish shopping in a nearby department store. There wasn't much outside aside from the thousands of people (which I mostly wanted to avoid). Instead there was this lonely red bicycle which begged to be shot. I only took one photo of it, then casually walked away — surprisingly it turned out to be the best of the night.
Oh, and one more thing, Happy Bokeh Wednesday Eve! (yes, it's still Tuesday in California)
Explorer'd!
