119/365. Without question the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer ~ Dave Barry
I'm a day late in posting this shot, and with good reason. It was the beer. Anyhow, this was more or less a proper exit to Google seeing as how I had no departure lunch or party, but Dave and I had preplanned an Allagash beer tasting / pairing event with the founder Rob Tod (yeah, I set him up with a Twitter account). Nevertheless, there isn't anything too exciting about this photo, I mainly just wanted it documented into my 365 project.
strobist info: (one light) SB-900 @ 1/4 @ 20mm into 43" silver reflective - high camera left (nothing new and exciting)

That's right, the Nikon 200mm ƒ/2 showed up today at work. It's heavy. But I'm most definitely going to have a lot of fun with it.

One from this last Photo Friday. Petra and Erin show off their cameras. Dave got some similar shots as we were all borrowing pocket wizards. This also makes it easier to drop in the strobist info since he already wrote it!
Strobist info: Nikon SB900 @ 1/1 into 43" silver reflective umbrella 45° camera right about 3' from subject angled down. Secondary flash, Vivitar 285Hv @ 1/1 shot through 45" convertible umbrella, 45° camera left about 2' from subject angled up.

61/365.
Brian: Hola, me llamo es Brian ... Nosotros queremos ir con ustedes.. uhhhh ...
Bellboy: Hey, that was pretty good, except when you said "me llamo es Brian," you don't need the "es," just me llamo Brian.
Brian: Oh, oh you speak English!
Bellboy (sigh): No, just that first speech and this one explaining it.
Brian: You .... you're kidding me, right?
Bellboy: Que? ~ Family Guy
It's been an entertaining week to say the least.
strobist info: Photoshpere 4.5B @ 1/2 power ~ 45°. Flash to subject distance 93M, triggered via faith.

57/365. The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? ~ Dr. Emmett Brown (Back to the Future)
I may bring my SB-900 with me everywhere I go because it's just that freakin' cool! Again after only having it for three days, lighting up photos is a sinch! This was shot right outside the Gmail building near the parking lot. It took about 3 minutes to set it up (connecting pocket wizards, and dialing in the right settings). Similar to yesterday's photo, getting a reading was easy as pie.
strobist info: Nikon SB-900 @ 1/16 power — 5' from subject at near 90°. Zoom head at 135mm
camera info: Nikon D700 | 50mm(ƒ/1.4G) | ƒ/11 | ISO 200 | 1/250s
wardrobe info: Nike shoes (duh)
On another note — Quickr Flickr Update!
For those using the Quickr Flickr GM script, please update! I fixed some bugs and added a shortcut to "star / favorite" a photo by hitting the "s" key. The comment form is also now on the right hand side which won't overlap with the comments for those of you with smaller screens. Cheers :)
and on one FINAL note you should let Patrick know how great his photography is.

Day late in posting this. Here's Sparky again. I must pay my royalities to Dave Cohen every time I post a picture of his dog.

35/365. Grab a brew. Don't cost nothin'. ~ Bluto (Animal House)
This is my beer, that I drank. Yes, I drank it... but it was for artistic purposes only! Not because I enjoyed it!
Today Dave walked me around a side of Google I never been to with a pond, cool trails, and lots of leaves (as if it were still fall!). The next two photos before this one are from that same walk. It was a nice break from staring at code all day — I must say Greasemonkey, Firebug, GMonkey, and Gmail do not play well together!
ANYWAY, Happy Bokeh Wednesday Everyone! See you tomorrow.

For lack of a serious photo, here is Sparky shown licking Dave's fingers. Hope everyone had a decent Tuesday. G'nite.

23/365. Nobody likes you when you're twenty three... ~ Blink 182
Ladies and Gents, this is Ed Ho, a friend, photo and strobist enthusiast, and Google Engineer. But first I ask you, can anyone say "straight out the camera" without cracking a smile? Well too bad, because this one was! Ok, ok, so I did add the border and watermark in Photoshop. But that's it! I loved this photo so much, I didn't even touch a single setting.
Anyway, today was Photo Friday (not to be confused with Wine Wednesday, or Thirsty Thursday), and Ed and I brought in our lighting gear then attacked the hallways of Gmail. Cheers everyone!
