250/365. Teresa — I beg your pardon
This is Teresa, a friend of Erin's. Had a long family weekend... I have half the will to explain it and I understand I'm back by a few days. Live will go on. Baah.
On a astrisks note, I will no longer be posting to the strobist info group as per new rules which require text additions. In the meantime, I will continue to post fully documented photo setups....
speaking of that....

240/365. Erin — yep, always hot
It's always great when coming home from work and Erin's just wearing somethin' fancy. I had to prompt the question...
me: "where are we going?"
erin: "nowhere, I'm just dressed"
me: "!"
and to the drawing boards...

236/365. Uninterupted Prosperity — who uses a machette, to cut through red tape ~ Cake
This is, without a doubt, Erin. And who knows how many Cake references I've had by now.
Tonight I was looking for something a little more darker than usual (I know, right) and haven't had my beautiful wife in the stream for a while (for shame!).
Also, she's got this rockin' hat, perfect for when we travel into Paris.
Anyhow, I didn't bother documenting the setup — however it's not too far off from perhaps the first "strobist info" shot ever documented from my stream. The only difference was that this shot had the light placed a little higher, and it's all about face direction (Erin is good at that).
Lastly, the best part for the poverty strobist out there (we all start this way) is that this little kit will get you started at just $199! That includes 45 inch convertible umbrella, lightstand, and the sweet Genensis 200 watt light, along with a 10 ft. sync cord (no remotes needed).
K, that's about as far as I go selling Calumet. For the rest of the time, I'll stick to my PW's and SB's.

120/365. Are you trying to say I don't know how to play?
I've had this trumpet sitting in my closet for 12 years, I'm pretty sure I still know how to play it... or at least hold it correctly.... is this right? Hehe. Thanks to Erin, I almost gave this up to good will, but she said it would make a fun prop. She was right.
One more thing, this is my first photo from our new studio setup. It's totally awesome. Erin made the big investment :)
Nevertheless, here's that 'ol setup stroby diagramer. cheers!

33/365. Go Dad! ~ Chris Griffin (Family Guy)
I. <3. Family Guy. I've seen every episode, at least three times. I bought these toys about a year ago in Canada and it hasn't been until now that I've been able to properly light them up (since I *have* taken pictures of them before). Since these guys are so rounded and curvy, the Genesis 200 lit them up so nicely it was hard to get a shot I didn't like. Hope everyone had a good Monday. See you tomorrow.
camera info: Nikon D700 | ISO 100 | 24-70mm(f/2.8G)@70mm | f/16 | 1/200s | WB 5200K
strobist info: Genesis 200 @ 1/1 power into 45" umbrella closed down | 2' from subject. Background was a double-layered black sheet sitting on my office chair (faux-seemless).
models release: Peter Griffin (double-phisting), and Chris Griffin.

26/365. Hello? Operator! Give me the number for 911! ~ Homer Simpson
First off, I had a shot planned for earlier in the day where I met a new dog at work today, but as soon as I met the owner he told me "Well, I couldn't possibly let you shoot my dog with a Nikon." Of course, he was joking, but it's rarely how I like to start new conversations. "Brand" debates are my least favorite discussions on photography — and I think everyone should get the right camera that will suit them best, and get over the fact that you had nothing to do with the making of that product.
ANYWAY, so this is Homer Simpson which I shot when I returned home with the Genesis. And there ya have it, my day is finished and now I have to pack for New York! Look forward to some shots from the Big Apple.

24/365. There's twenty four reasons
To admit that I'm wrong
With all my excuses
Still twenty four strong ~ Switchfoot
Just barely made today's photo with only minutes to spare. Which means I've yet to miss a single day :)
Anyhow, this is Erin holding up a photo that we printed of her about a week ago. Nothin' special. We both had no ideas for a shot, so she decided to hold up one more interesting.
wardrobe info: a print from Ilford Galerie — smooth pearl paper.
strobist info: Genesis 200 @ 1/4 power | about 80° to left (very directional) about 7' high into a 45" closed umbrella — SB600 @ 1/4 power | about 90° to right about 5' high into a 45" closed umbrella

Or rather, our living room with a big freakin' light. This is our Genesis 200 strobe light sitting on a 10' stand (raised only half) with a 45" convertible umbrella (shown collapsed for more directional lighting).
The sheets in the background are... sheets (made for a queen sized bed).
