110/365. No Honey, we don't talk to strangers...
This is Malfi, Little Malfi, and of course, Domokun. The Malfi's belong to my Erin.
Ever had one of those moments where you took the perfect shot the first time? Yeah, this was not one of those times. I packed these guys up in the bag in hunt for a good spot only to run into many failures. I kept reorganizing different setups, changing light settings, moving lights, creating different compositions, new scenes. It was frustrating. In the end, I got one that I liked that actually evoked emotion after reviewing it on the LCD screen. Thus, this was the last photo I took of the night.
I had a few crazys pass by while taking this shot... especially this big Mexican bearded dude talking on his phone in a fake woman's voice. It was totally creepy. That's when I knew it was time to leave; not to mention it smelled like pee.
location: 26 & Mission-ish.
Those obsessed with setups and lighting, read on....

Final note: I have a big announcement coming up within the next day or two. Stay tuned.

70/365.
Domo <3 Nikon
Today I had the opportunity of teaching photography to Junior High School students for a Volunteer after-school program. It was actually quite fun and I was rather amazed on how much information can be stored in a 12 year old brain considering how much I went off with all the math. I'd love to post some of those photos but I'm sure I'd need some sort of parent consent form hoopla. So I shot this one when I got home.
Be sure to check out the detailed strobist info in the previous photo.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!

"It's the end of the year, so let's get this party stawted!"
— Domo-kun
It's the end of 2008, and it seems most appropriate that it was the year of the Domo-kun since he is now officially being sold at Target. We should have saw this coming ever since he hit Urban Outfitters.
Nevertheless, Happy New Years Eve and Happy Bokeh Wednesday. See you next year when my 365 project officially begins. Cheers! Explorer'd!
