152/365. Untitled
(get a little personal)
Tonight, it's all about the subject. And before taking this photo, I literally drew blank of ideas. I grabbed my strobist bag and walked off into the city with my wife's 5D2 (thanks again love) feeling lost, tired, and uninspired.
After having fully set up, this guy (in photo) stumbled upon my scene. Since he was rather interested in what I was doing, I asked if he could be my model. I took a single shot — and this is it. The rest is up to you to interprit.
Lastly, there was no time to capture the scene... it was one of the moments where you just had to be there — so there, happy strobist info vacation :) relax a little and just enjoy a good photograph. Cheers!

124/365. First day on the job...
Today was finally my first day on the job. This is my desk. Anyone from SF knows that Ritual is a pretty damn fine coffee roasting house. It's apparently Brazillian month — this stuff costs $23/lb.!! I thought to myself, "no coffee can be that good..." but sure enough, it was. It's pure awesomeness — especially when brewed via french press.
Anyhow, I'll cut straight to the point, I don't have any strobist diagram for you today, but if you've been enjoying my strobist info's set then I'd highly recommend checking out Joey from Las Vegas who has recently been putting together strobist setup shots too. Of course there are always various pools you can browse too, but it's always fun when someone dedicates themselves to making this a habit.
cheesy text version strobist info: SB-900 @ 1/16 @ 50mm into 43" silver collapsible umbrella, high subject right.

because you can't pour the cream into it. yeah, that one on the right is the cream and perhaps the worst dish to serve cream in since you can't pour out of it.

88/365. Coffee is life
Erin had a photoshoot today of a 1 year old bebe girl and I got to act as Light Boy. We tried a few different set ups, each worked quite well.
Anyhow, this shot was taken afterward during the calm and Erin was already at her computer editing her photos. Coffee mug thanks to Ashley.
strobist info: Big Fireball beaming thru four bay windows! (yes, that's sarcasm for natural light). This one is for you Cindy. Cheers.
