236/365. Uninterupted Prosperity — who uses a machette, to cut through red tape ~ Cake
This is, without a doubt, Erin. And who knows how many Cake references I've had by now.
Tonight I was looking for something a little more darker than usual (I know, right) and haven't had my beautiful wife in the stream for a while (for shame!).
Also, she's got this rockin' hat, perfect for when we travel into Paris.
Anyhow, I didn't bother documenting the setup — however it's not too far off from perhaps the first "strobist info" shot ever documented from my stream. The only difference was that this shot had the light placed a little higher, and it's all about face direction (Erin is good at that).
Lastly, the best part for the poverty strobist out there (we all start this way) is that this little kit will get you started at just $199! That includes 45 inch convertible umbrella, lightstand, and the sweet Genensis 200 watt light, along with a 10 ft. sync cord (no remotes needed).
K, that's about as far as I go selling Calumet. For the rest of the time, I'll stick to my PW's and SB's.
strobist info: Calumet Genesis 200 high right @ 1/4 into 45" collapsed umbrella
camera info: Nikon D3 | 24-70mm(ƒ/2.8G)@48mm | ƒ/8.0 | ISO 200 | 1/400s (over synced) — Handheld triggered via Pocket Wizard II's

214/365. Modesty Appeal — or reserved hotness?
Yeah, we could come up with titles all day. Anyhow, another night in the sketch. We had several drunken groups pass us by... some said nothing, others made themselves just look dumber.
man: "wooo! take it off!..."
man2: "are you guys shooting a porno!!??"
erin: "no."
man to me: "eh bro, you don't need a zoom lens if you know what i'm sayin'"
me: *raised eye browe & nod*

200/365. I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way ~ Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988))
Go to toon town and view large
So, it's been two hundred days. It feels like a decade ago since day 100, and even a distant childhood memory since I was eating crab on new years day with good friends.
Nevertheless, nothing will take away the fact of the present... of still being tired.
Tonight we watched Roger Rabbit on Netflix; hence the quote. It suited this shot quite well too.
And lastly, my wife is crazy hot. Too hot for strobist info on this 200versary day.
Cheers!

18/365. Oh Forlorn
During the afternoon on a lazy Sunday, Erin and I replaced the white sheets, with black ones up on the curtains. We immediately took advantage of it with a little studio session. We took a few hundred exposures between the two of us. And even most, we'll still keep. Nevertheless, we figured we should still share some for you flickrer's. And thus concludes day eighteen (like 18 year olds (but not really)).
If you're interested in seeing really really embarrasing and flattering photos of me, head over to Erin's flickr stream. Cheers everyone, have a great rest of the weekend.
strobist info: ISO 200 | f/16 | 1/200s | 45" convertible umbrella low and direct Genesis 200 at full power
wardrobe info: 1940's original vogue dress. Japanese pare*umbrella. Tea cup is fine bone english china. Gloves are old torn stockings refurbished with pink glittery buttons (added by Erin).

Here Erin is shown smiling at the BART station.
I forget how much I enjoy taking pictures with the 50mm wide open.
Happy Saturday!
